Second bottle from the twine and glass family / Antrasis butelis iš virvės ir stiklo
Let me introduce this bottle's brother or sister. It was too lonely for that bottle to be alone, and my Mom just had finished oil that was in this one, the color was similar, so she suggested that I decorate it.
The materials I used were the same as the previous one, I just tried to keep the same design.
And here is another family all together. Even though the forms of the bootles are diffrent, but they look quite nice together.
Štai dar viena šeimyna kartu. Nors formos skiriasi, kažkaip išėjo visai panašūs.

Bottle decoration with twine and glass / Stiklo dekoracija su siūlu ir stiklu
Here is another decoration with natural materials, this one is made from twine and broken glass. You might know that twine is my favorite decoration material. Glass is quite nice too, but it has to be car glass, so when it's in pieces it doesn't injure your fingers. It is possible to get a cut, but you might need to try, and since I'm usually working with a tweezers, I only got hurt when I was reorganizing them.
Most of my bottles don't have some specific history, but this one is an exception. My godmother brought the vine, it was really long time ago. I wasn't even born yet. And my mom kept it for so many years. As soon as I found out where it came from I wanted to decorate it. Did some spirals on it and just had fun, and this kind of design was born.
Somehow I believe that it was lonely all alone, so I had to start another family, and I promise to show it's brother or sister another time.
Bet jam buvo liūdna vienam stovėti, tad apsiėmiau padaryti antrą, kurį parodysiu jau kitą kartą.
Best wishes,

Another bottle decorated with twine and quince seeds / Butelis dekoruotas virve ir svarainių sėklom
Happy Wednesday! How is your summer going? I still can't get with the idea that collage will start next week. Because I love summer, I seriously want for summer to stay all year long. What about you? What is your favorite season?
And so today I want to present you the whole family of decorated bottles with twine and quince seeds. Here is first one, and second decorations. And let me present you third one:
Ir šiandien noriu pristatyti visą šeimą mano dekoruotų butelių su siūlu ir svarainių sėklom. Štai čia yra pirmasis, čia antras. Ir leiskit Jums pristatyt trečiąjį:
Like the other two I used twine and quince seed. Glued them an the bottle and arranged the pattern that I wanted.
Some details.
Detalės.
I have to admit that the whole family looks quite amazing together.
Turiu pripažinti, kad visa šeimyna kartu atrodo visai puikiai.
It's been a long time since I did my last bottle. But if I would ever start doing them again, I might make one more member for this family.
Best wishes,

A bottle from twine and quince seeds / Butelis dekoruotas virve ir svarainių sėklom
Visiting my brothers place again. And I want to share a one more decoration with natural materials. But today it's a bottle, vase, whatever you call it I agree :)
This one is really similar to the one I showed in my other post. But this one is bigger version. I do admit that they are similar in design. But there is few year difference between them. And I love how they look together. There is one more that fits in this company. One of the last one I made, should share the entire family soon.
I love using twine, I found that it gives me the best look. And from all the seeds I use quince are my favorite. I love their dark tone and they glue on quite nicely.
Man labai patinka naudoti virvę (špagatą), jis pagal mane labiausia tinka ir geriausia atrodo. O iš sėklų svarainių yra mano mėgstamiausios. Man patinka jų tamsus atspalvis ir jos visai gražiai prisiklijuoja.
Like I do most of my bottles, this one was not an exception. I tried matching the design I had in mind, with the bottles form. I like what turned out, I love those flowers and the twine flying out of them.

Painting for my Teacher / Paveikslas Mokytojai
Still living without internet. So right now I'm at my brothers and I plan to keep my promise and share a painting that I mentioned in my last post.
Vis dar be interneto.
I've been planing to make a decoration from natural materials just for my Teacher, and I've started it about a year ago. But since this one is special, I din't wanted to hurry or make it in a bad mood, because I believe that only good emotions should be put into art. And so in a year I did it. And I visited my Teacher last week and gave her this present. And she loved it, that made me even more happy.
Jau seniai ketinau padaryti paveikslą savo Mokytojai, būtent dekoruota natūraliomis medžiagomis. Tad paveikslą pradėjau jau prieš metus. Kadangi jis ypatingas nesinorėjo skubinti proceso, ypač kadangi stengiausi jį daryti tik labai geros nuotaikos, nes tikiu kad į meną reikia sudėti geriausias emocijas. Ir štai per metus pagaminau. Praeitą savaitę aplankiau Mokytoją ir įteikiau. Labai apsidžiaugiau, kad Jai patiko šis paveikslas.
And of course before giving it, I had to take some pictures. So I took my camera and went outside, found quite nice views.
And of course some close-up.
Ir aišku, iš arčiau.
For the notice, I call her my Teacher, even though it's been a year since I finished school, that is because she will always stay my Teacher, she thought me how to live, enjoy it and see beauty in everything. I'm so glad to have met such a person in my life.
Nors praėjo jau metai kaip baigiau mokyklą, vistiek Mokytoja man išliko Mokytoja. Tikriausiai todėl kad, ji visada išliks man Mokytoja, Ji man parodė kaip gyventi, išmokė džiaugtis ir matyti grožį gyvenime. Taip džiaugiuosi Ją sutikusi šiam gyvenime.
Thanks for visiting and have a nice weekend,

Ačiū kad apsilankėt ir gero savaitgalio,

Catch Up!
Like always I'm gone for a long time, and I'm not sorry about that. When I'n not on the computer I'm probably doing some sewing or reading a book. So today a quick jump in to tell you what's going on.
First is that I have no internet at home, I'll get it only in the upcoming few weeks, it really is uncomfortable to live without it.
Good news is that I finished my a mini for my IG handpieced mini quilt swap. I left my camera at home so before sending it I only took them with my phone camera. And I didn't downloaded them to my pc. But here is the process of the mini.
Recently I turned 20. And the best surprise was these flowers, I have the best cousin.
And one more amazing thing I finished is a painting for my teacher, but I want to write a separate post for it, so only a peek from it.
Have a nice, sunny summer.
Dovile :)

A mini bottle from twine and quince seeds
Today I want to show you one more decoration with natural materials. This time it's a mini bottle. I loved the form of it and it was small. How could I resist decorating it?
This one is made of twine and quince seeds. This is one of my favorite combinations. I just love the contrast these two components create.
Happy Friday!
Best wishes,
Dovile

Painting from natural materials
So much work from collage. I barely find any time to craft or blog. But summer is coming, and I will have a lot of free time to craft, blog, or enjoy the sun. But now let me show you something much more interesting. For example another decoration with natural materials.
This one is a painting. I used shells my cousin brought from the beach. And some rocks. Simple materials, but looks nice together.
It's quite small. I was younger when I did this, and so I didn't have any idea to make something larger. And so for some time I made a lot of small paintings. But now they are hanging at my home in one place and they look quite nice all together.
So for some time I'll have to retire from crafting, well only until summer. And my warm cool quilt is still on hold. Even though my arms are itching to make it. But since I have a lot of already made projects I think it would be a nice idea to show them.
Best wishes,
Dovile

Introduction to decorations with natural materials!
Finally I'm ready to tell you all about decoration with natural materials. After school I usually went to after class activity. There I learned a lot. One of my favorite things I learned there was sewing, of course. The second thing is decorating with natural materials. We did these decorations on bottles, wood boards. and boxes or anything we came up with. So even after I finished school and moved away I still love to do some decorations. So in the upcoming posts I will be showing you the stuff I made. So here is the first ones.
This one is really simple. I just used some glass paint and quince seeds. Oh and the glue is the main ingredient. I put the paint anywhere and anyhow and then I filled some spaces between with seeds.
Can't wait to start showing you all of my works :)
Best wishes,
Dovile

Catch up!
I've been working on my warm cool quilt. (Quilt along from In Color Order) I cut all the pieces. Decided to make a baby size. So 100 squares needed. I really enjoy these rainbow like piles. My machine has a different seam allowance, so this weekend I'm going home and I hope to sew them all together.
While watching TV series I piece hexies. Mostly from scraps. I have no idea what to make from them though. Just enjoying making them.
Finally started working on my painting with natural materials. This one is for my teacher. And I do realize I haven't talked about decorations with natural materials. But I do promise in this week to whip up a post about it.
Best wishes,
Dovile

Catch Up!
I'm not dead. But my computer still is. But now I realize that's a positive thing. I have a lot more free time. No worries I'll try to jump once a week and share my progress. And so let's start. This weekend I started to do a painting with natural materials. I love those. I would love to share what it is and tell you more about it, but my pictures and additional info is on my computer. Bummer. Yep.. that's a minus for having your computer broken.
I also started a shelf runner :) just playing with words here :)
I made some progress on #rainbowminiswap that's going on at the instagram.
And the best thing that happened is that I finished my denim quilt. And I gave it a name. Because Second Denim Quilt doesn't sound... "Towards the Blue Dream" is the new name. Another bummer is that I have no photos. I have nowhere to hang it or fully lay, at this moment. And I still need to make a hanging sleeve. I love a video tutorial from Missouri Star Quilt Company. You can find a lot of their great tutorials on youtube.
I hope to see you next week,
Best wishes,
Dovile

2015 a New Year and a New Begining!
Have you heard the saying each day is the new beginning. And now it's even better! We have an entire year to start anew. That's what I'm going to do. And I decided to write up my 2015 resolutions. So as I tend to fail at these kind of things, I thought why not share them here and that will make me want to keep them more, right? Anyways of to the goals I set to myself for this year:
- SEW! I sew when I find some time and something like that. But I could make time for sewing! And I want to do much more sewing throughout this year. So basically my main goal is to sew in every free minute I have. And here is what I would like to sew:
- 6 quilts. Last year I put a goal on myself which I didn't keep. That was to make 14 quilts. I believe that was crazy for me and it was. I did few quilt tops, but I couldn't finish my big goal and I was really disappointed. So now I'm just making a smaller goal. Make 6 quilts. It's okay with me if I can't even do that much, life happens and that's fine with me.
- Make sewn gift. A lot of my family deserves to have a quilt from me, so why not make them it as a gift, or not a full quilt, potholders or pillows or anything sewn is fine.
- Spend less time at the computer! Okay, I admit, I need to fix my addiction. That is sitting at the computer. So I would have more time to live and more time for my hobbies. I really want to work on this goal.
- Blog! I really enjoy bloging, and I have no idea what stops me. It's just whenever I want to blog I make myself another task and it gets put of. So I guess I need to work with myself this year.
- Project 365! It's a project when you take a photo each day. I've been wanting to do that for few years now, but again I've been putting it away for no reason. And I even actually started it! So it's a good start.
- Do some other hobbies! I love doing paintings with natural materials, but it's just that I couldn't find time and determination to get back to that. Another thing is knitting, I really want to start a knitted hexagon blanket. And maybe someday actually finish it :D knitting is a good project to do while on a road or at some place that you can't do sewing.
I set big goals for myself. But I do believe I can achieve them and grow myself to being a better person. I can't wait the day when I'll be writing a post like 2015 review and showing how much I did. But there is a long way to that post so let's walk it with passion and determination.
Anyways, I would love to hear your goals for the 2015 :)
