365 Project! Week 2!

Second week of my newly started project. It's so exciting to search for pictures. Because of my little sickness, I had this week, I couldn't spend much time on projects or stuff like that. But I managed to do some sewing. As soon as my pot holders are complete I'll share. Also kind of big exam is coming so I might be occupied for the week. But after it I'll have two full weeks to relax and do some crafty stuff. Can't wait, but firstly I need to finish my exam!

Bead ball flue / Karoliukų karštinė

On one holiday I got a flue. A bead ball flue. I started it with a goal to fill this box:

Per vienas atostogas pasigavau karštinę. Karoliukų karštinę. Prasidėjo tuo kad turėjau tikslą užpildyti šią dėžutę:

 But soon it was filled:

Ir labai greit ji jau buvo pilna:

and the flue wasn't over yet. So I had to take a bigger box and I choose this one:

bet karštinė dar nebuvo pasibaigusi. Tad pasiėmiau šią didesnę dėžutę:

 It was a lot bigger and so I didn't managed to fill it until the flue was over.

Ji buvo daug didesnė, tad jos visos užpildyti nespėjau iki kol karštinė praėjo.

But I am waiting for another bead ball epidemic. I managed to make over a hundred of them:

Bet vis dar laukiu dar vienos tokios karoliukų epidemijos. Sugebėjau pagaminti virš šimto jų.

And so they started stealing my stuff, traveling around the house..... village......., soon they're coming to my blog....

Ir jie pradėjo kraustytis visur, po mano daiktus, aplink namus..... kaimą.... tuoj ir į tinklaraštį atkeliaus.

Project 365! Start!

Happy Monday, a new week a new beginning!

So, as I mentioned in my last post, one of my goals is to complete project 365. I started it and it's going great. I plan to share every photo on my blog so I'll try to post on each Monday. And here are the photos from last week:

2015 a New Year and a New Begining!

Have you heard the saying each day is the new beginning. And now it's even better! We have an entire year to start anew. That's what I'm going to do. And I decided to write up my 2015 resolutions. So as I tend to fail at these kind of things, I thought why not share them here and that will make me want to keep them more, right? Anyways of to the goals I set to myself for this year:

1. SEW! I sew when I find some time and something like that. But I could make time for sewing! And I want to do much more sewing throughout this year. So basically my main goal is to sew in every free minute I have. And here is what I would like to sew:
•  6 quilts. Last year I put a goal on myself which I didn't keep. That was to make 14 quilts. I believe that was crazy for me and it was. I did few quilt tops, but I couldn't finish my big goal and I was really disappointed. So now I'm just making a smaller goal. Make 6 quilts. It's okay with me if I can't even do that much, life happens and that's fine with me. 
• Make sewn gift. A lot of my family deserves to have a quilt from me, so why not make them it as a gift, or not a full quilt, potholders or pillows or anything sewn is fine.                    
2. Spend less time at the computer! Okay, I admit, I need to fix my addiction. That is sitting at the computer. So I would have more time to live and more time for my hobbies. I really want to work on this goal.                                                                                                                              
3. Blog! I really enjoy bloging, and I have no idea what stops me. It's just whenever I want to blog I make myself another task and it gets put of. So I guess I need to work with myself this year.     
4. Project 365! It's a project when you take a photo each day. I've been wanting to do that for few years now, but again I've been putting it away for no reason. And I even actually started it! So it's a good start.                                                                                                                                 
5. Do some other hobbies! I love doing paintings with natural materials, but it's just that I couldn't find time and determination to get back to that. Another thing is knitting, I really want to start a knitted hexagon blanket. And maybe someday actually finish it :D knitting is a good project to do while on a road or at some place that you can't do sewing.

I set big goals for myself. But I do believe I can achieve them and grow myself to being a better person. I can't wait the day when I'll be writing a post like 2015 review and showing how much I did. But there is a long way to that post so let's walk it with passion and determination.

Meeting the new year!

There is a saying in my country: the way you meet the new year, the way a year will be, or something like that. And this year I had a great company and a lot of funny things that helped me meet the new years happily.

First of all I spend my new year with my sister and my mom. They came to my apartment and we had so much fun. We made dinner and joked the entire weekend. And we had something like a tradition. To pass time until midnight we prepare gifts. Not two or three, but 20. I made my mom 10 and my sister 10 gifts. Both of them did the same. So each one of us had about 20 gift. We don't decide on a price or what the gift should be. Main requirement is: prepare gifts and wrap them. So entire evening we had fun guessing what it is and unwrapping them. And here is what our gift haven looked like:

I had so much fun and I can say that this was the best new year meeting in my life, so it's bound to be a good year right? :)
